How many times have you said to youreslf today is the day I will get that blog post up only to find that another day, another week, another month and another year has gone by and your still sitting there procrastinating.

Up until now procrastinating as always been one of my biggest obstacles and as a newbie to the bloggersphere I found I was looking for all kinds of excuses to why I could not put up a post. I was basicley sitting were I am just watching the post’s of others go up other than mine.

I was on a quest to finding the anwser to my procrastinating. I felt like the Indiana Jones of the bloggersphere.  In my quest I came across names such as chrisbrogan, copyblogger and many more. The tips I picked up from these guy’s were like little golden nuggets.

The Winne the Pooh Guide to Blogging

My break thru came when I read The Winne the Pooh Guide to Blogging by James Chartrand. I so, so related to lesson 1: “You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them somtimes.”

How many times have you sat in the corner of your forest waiting for others to come?

Lesson 1 is a lesson we can all learn from and my lesson begins today with me getting out of the corner of my forest and tugging on your sleeve.

Hi everyone and yes, yes, yes after much excuse finding this is my first official blog post. Hope you find it of some help as a networker, mlm’er or newbie to this industry.

Last week while recovering from a surgery I got to thinking to myself what characteristics determined a team or single player in this industry?

Characteristics of a team player

1) Will pass the ball
2) Will share
3) Is a giver
4) Is a listener
5) Is coachable
6) Can take critique
7) Is not a quitter
Is a contributor
9) Is committed
10) Is fun to be around
11) Is humble
12) See’s people
13) Will help you up and collect prize with you

Characteristics of a single player

1) Are not passers (foot ball)
2) Think they can do everything
3) They are a one man band
4) Collects prize for him self
5) They are committed to self rather than others
6) Can be impatient
7) Has to be a front player
Full of pride
9) Has attitude
10) Knows it all
11) A single player needs duct tape
12) See’s numbers
13) Will step over you and collect prize for them.

Tips: Listen to words used by prospect or so called gurus, teachers and coaches to determine which category they may fall in e.g. a team player will use words such as we, you, our and team. A player will use such words as I, me, I am, I will and my team.
